Life At Any Cost

When director Bo Wider-berg died, in May 1997, there was no choice for Stefan Jarl. Bo Widerberg is namely not only one of his role models, he was al-so a close friend. Life at Any Cost is therefore both a film of tribute and a portrait of one of Swe-den's most gifted filmma-kers of all time. But besi-des its sad contents, Life at Any Cost is also a very funny film. Not in the least thanks to Bo Wider-berg's favorite actor Thommy Berggren, who in this memorable film delivers one of his best performances.

“An emotional, often achingly funny portrait of Swedish filmmaker Bo Widerberg, this documentary is a small gem that's a must.”
/Variety

"Life At Any Cost is a loving and very amusing homage to Bo Widerberg... moving, tender and affectionate."
/Sydsvenska Dagbladet

"Best film at the Gothenburg Film Festival: Life At Any Cost, Stefan Jarl´s moving and very touching film about Bo Widerberg."
/ Göteborgs-Posten
