Misfits To Yuppies (The Trilogy III)

This third film was never planned; it was never thought that there would be a third Misfits film. But then something hap-pened. Kenta and his girl-friend Eva broke away from the city life, and their son Patrik turned out to be - something en-tirely different. A yuppie. So a third part was made, which was illuminating and proved that the theory of social heredity is not accurate. A highly perso-nal and intimate portrait of the formerly described Misfits and their teenage/adult children today. Was it right to be a re-bel then and is it right to be more or less conformist today?

“With the completion of his trilogy. .. Stefan jarl is writing not only Swedish film history but international film history.”

“Line up for this must-see film.”

"This movie is the third in a triology by Stefan Jarl, often called the Mods-triology. That title could be misunderstood because the films doesn't follow mods just swedish teenage drugrebels in the 60's. This last film summons Jarls work and shows that he has been developing himself as an documentary filmer. Jarl is often in picture and he tells us that the filming of this three films has been complicated even in moral ways. It starts with an answer machine message from late "Stoffes" widow, telling Jarl she hate him and that there will not be a third movie. Later in the film we can see when Jarl is about to meet "Stoffes" child. I will not tell you if he does. Det Sociala Arvet follows "Stoffes" best friend "Kenta" (the two of them are the main characters in the first film) and how he tries to knock of the booze and moving to a little village in nowhere called Hallabro. We can also hear the people from the earlier films make comments on what they said then, the first film is from the 60's the second from the 70's. If you see the whole triology you will be aware that you have seen the best documentary ever made about social underclass."
